The Pre-20 Dinner

By Sherry, December 23, 2009 9:22 pm

Well, its pretty much out of the bag now. Thanks for keeping it such a secret everyone. And that was sarcasm - just in case you don’t recognise it.

The internet is a sucky place to deliver sarcasm. gah.

Anyways, my birthday was… simply awesome.
(minus the fact that I had to leave the very next day)

And I guess I’m supposed to gloat, show off and post numerous pictures of my gorgeous self, my awesome dinner and more pof my gorgeous self. And in case you missed it, “supposed to” means “I should but I;m too lazy to actually do it”. Lucky you?

This is partly a thank you and partly just because I wanted to gloat. Kidding. the gloating part i mean. Ok. I lied. I looked gorgeous *self praise* so here i go: *gloats with glee* ngek ngek ngek :D

My date for the evening.

Camwhoring right outside in the chill winds. The view was spectacular, with a wide view of the city and its surrounding suburbs. That said, we didn’t stay long. Not that we didn’t want to, but we were literally shivering. Believe me.. it was cc-c-o-ooo-ooo-l-lll-dd…

Guess it didn’t help that my so called heater didn’t actually work either. wtf.

my ‘girly’ drink. Can’t recall, a cosmopolitan perhaps?

For some strange reason, there was a slight feeling of deja vu when I entered the restaurant. And i’m pretty sure I’ve never been there - i’d hv remembered for sure. Odd.

Clare Valley Veal with Grilled Potatoes and Puff Pastry. or something like that.

Oh, I think I forgot to mention the name of the place. Sorry, my bad. Pictures are taken at Windy Point Restaurant, Adelaide. Beautiful decor which compliments the unique architecture of the place lending a sense of welcoming yet intimite ambience (and no, i didn’t copy tht from somewhere). I’d personally recommend it for that special occassion :)

Food was fab. The veal was not overly cooked with the flavours of the meat still fully intact. Loved the grilled potatoes with the green sauce. Might hv some spinach blended in there somewhere, I’m not sure. But awesome. Wish they’d given more though..

The view. Not that you can see much from here. but the lights were beautiful.

I especially liked the lighting of this place. Its dim, but not too dark that you can’t see your food. I see mostly two-seaters bt there are a few bigger tables that could hold quite a few people. Things were muted and there weren’t any rowdy conversations. It really does feel.. nice. And expensive. lol.

just in case you aren’t bored of my face yet :D

Tried taking a picture with the night view behind us. But it was too dark. And its not like you can really see the lights anyways. Unfortunately. It would’ve been beautiful…

My present ♥

I loved it. love it love it love it! I guess sparkly things really does appeal to a girl’s heart.

All that aside, thanks for the facebook msges, the mms-es, the phonecalls, the sms-es, the cakes and of course, the pressiesssss! I heart heart heart you guys for putting so much thought into it! haha.. really had fun and believe me, I will NEVER look at cherry in the same way anymore… =.= (sounds like I’m giving a speech from the Oscars?)

Ps. I’m loving the chocs from my PD! ♥ I know it was difficult for you, but you still did it… thank youuuuuuu

hello hello hello!

Finally back in hot, sweaty, humid ol’ Msia. Did I mention HOT, SWEATY and HUMID? i think i did…

So I’m finally a year older - and its only a couple of weeks more before you people start adding another year to it. Not that it feels much of a difference - just that you can’t get lost in KLIA without attracting strange looks anymore :(

Yeah. I did get lost. And this really nice kind well meaning guard asked me if I lost my parents. And if I speak English. wtf. But he did bring me to the tram, so…

DON’T YOU DARE LAUGH AT ME! >(

Ok, gtg. Its time for mum’s homecook food a.k.a white porridge now. lol. Updates on the KohSamui trip later - maybe.

Spring cleaning :(

By Sherry, December 6, 2009 10:11 pm

Spent the whole day trying to clean my room and rearranging the furniture. Threw everything out into the hallway and now everything is one big mess *sigh. I think I have too many clothes…

Well, at least I’ve done rearranging stuff. New layout makes the room look a little smaller. But idk, seems a little more cosy somehow, so thats good. But it probably needs more color. Can’t stand the pristine whiteness of the damn room (and yes, I kept the walls surprisingly bare this year). Any nice and CHEAP ideas for deco?

I don’t feel motivated to clean anymore. HELP!

Harbour Town again :D

Went to Harbour Town again after abstaining for a couple of weeks two months. I know it isn’t the best places to shop, but really, where else CAN you go in this city? -.-

To be honest, its not the best time to buy. Noticed several old familiar pieces being resold at a markup price. wteff. Guess they’re trying to milk as much as they can from customers who are desperate to shop for the Christmas season. Boooooooooooooooooo!

Which is why I keeeeeeeep telling you ppl:
Don’t shop last minute. If you see it, you like it, it’s worth it, GET IT! :D

… but no one ever listens to me. hmph >(

The damages for the day?

Stuff from Valleygirl

.

Basics from Cotton On

.

A box to keep my accessories! And its pink! Im thinking of buying another.. its only $4.95! Ok, so its not that cheap. But it makes my things neater (sort of). And its pretty!

Darn I sound so bimbo. Sorry about the extreme editing. But as my room is going through a packing/cleaning/rearranging phase, its not the best background view.

.

My fav purchase! From Novo: 2 pairs of Ipanema sandals for only $20! wooooooo~

Guess thats the good thing about having small feet. Its almost always available during sales. Lol.

.

Random picture of Hungry Jacks lol.

.

My camwhore partner of the day. I like this picture :)

Other than the typical heal and blur tool - which any camwhore with a photoshop application would use - I didn’t make any other adjustments. So really, I don’t look THAT chubby do i? :(

.

What to do when the driver’s busy driving? Camwhore!!

idk what was I doing but other than the fact that you can see all my arm fats and blackhead-ridden nose, i kinda like it.

—————

Btw, im planning to try MyBeautyDiary facial masks. Heard it is pretty good. There are so many types to choose from though, any suggestions/recommendations on which to get? Would really appreciate it :)

—————

7 days left till I fly home!

ps. Left out the pictures of a clutch and bikini I bought. Better to have some mystery eh? :D

Mamak night :)

By Sherry, December 4, 2009 4:02 pm

woke up with an aching headache this morning and its been throbbing in a corner ever since. Argh, where did THIS come from?? and just when i thought I was recovering.. booooooooo!  >(

Anyways, sorry for the long lack of updates. I always meant to! but never seem to. Blame exams. And assignments. And the weather. And the sun. And the boredom..?

Fail. Oh well :D

———-

Some pictures from Mamak Night held in UniSA City East Campus after a super duper long delay. Thanks SueAnne for the invite :) and Jay for boiling the egg? lol I seem to remember that for some reason. hmm..

Was supposed to be with Audrey. But of course, HE had to jump in. typical. oh well, no harm in having a cheshire cat in the background :D

.

No, they didn’t serve beer. This was at the Elephant pub where we went before going home. I still think having the last bus home at 12 is plain sad >(

.

Cindy and Carmen. Where cuteness meets style.

I feel fugly next to them. Haihz. Maybe i should crop myself out =S

.

Future housemate and current housemate aka the Chef and the DJ. And im just the freeloader lol.

.

A picture to commemorate Rae wearing contact lenses WITH makeup. Not that you can see it in BW - other than the fact she’s wearing contacts. and have smudges around her eyes. nebermind -.-

.

Pictures are in BW simply because the color of the original is awful. U know how it is when flashes don’t really work. And once one is in BW, seems easier if all of them were. I can’t help wanting things to be symmetrical (is that the word?) :P

Actually I do have plenty of other pictures to update. But I’m feeling too lazy at the moment. So bite me.
